Established by Guihan Groenewald in 1996, Oaktree Transport is a well-known freight forwarder and transport broker. Our warehouse is in Swellendam and our fleet operates across Southern Africa.

Freight Logistics
We are a freight forwarder and transport broker. Oaktree Transport has a number of systems in place that make us unique among other trucking companies. Our entire staff is hand-selected for professionalism, competence, reliability, and dependability. To ensure that your cargo is delivered on time and in great condition, we use a satellite-based tracking system that allows us to manage our fleet, deal with breakdowns or adverse weather conditions, and keep our drivers and your load safe and secure.
lucerne supply
The supply and distribution of our lucerne and animal feeds are handled by Loumelize Trust, a division within the Oaktree Group. We provide a specialist service by entering into preferential contracts with the primary supplier and by constantly delivering quality products to the animal feed sector and feedlots. Value is added by means of personal attention, long-term agreements, storage, quality control, and transportation. Pricing strategies and stock management are being done for a variety of clients and we pride ourselves that we can deliver as the client requires.
Part Loads
Part Loads offer a more cost effective alternative to deal with smaller loads. The cost of a consolidation will be calculated of deck space used by cargo or total weight of cargo, limited to space available on the designated trucks. These part loads are available only from Western Cape to the Eastern Cape and back, including but not limited to the following regular destinations: Cape Town (3 per week) George (2-3 per week) Port Elizabeth (2-3 per week) East London (2-3 per week) The trucks consist of Taut liners and Flat decks 6x6m deck space carrying maximum of 22 tons.
Warehousing & Distribution
Our 540 sqm warehouses are occupied by fertilizer, seed and animal feeds companies. We also provide smaller trucks to distribute products on behalf of these companies to their clients.

Western Cape
We have a selection of forklifts that we rent out to customers within the Western Cape area.

Black empowerment
Oaktree Transport has always been a family business and strives to assist in the empowerment of previously disadvantaged people in South Africa. In 2021 we launched Oaktree Logistics (Pty) Ltd with 51% black shareholding to steadily grow this business initiative into a self-sustainable entity.
